moving up...but not out...

Beginning tomorrow, Spencer will officially be a big girl! *tear*

We've held off on the "big girl bed" for a while, only because of teaching her that she is not allowed to roam around her room when it's time for bed, and, I'm just lazy. But, since we moved everything out of Matt's mother's Pawleys' house last year, I've had these bunk beds sitting in my youth room for over a year now. So, today we're heading to Sam's club to purchase a mattress for the bottom bunk and get them all set up in Spencer's room. There are so "low quality" mattresses for the beds, so we'll keep the top one up there until next month, and purchase another mattress, but at least we can do one and get her into them.

Spencer and I did some price shopping over the past week and found Sam's to be the most affordable for what we were looking for. Our final stop was Sam's yesterday, before that we hit Target for some very cute MONKEY sheets, since she's our little monkey. Spencer's crib converts into a bed frame (for a full bed) but her room is just TOO small to have a full bed right now. So, we'll save it until that day. It will be beautiful whenever she can have it! But, with family coming to visit and the need of an extra bed, the bunk beds seemed to be the best choice.

This is the last of our "weekends" until mid-March. I have to work EVERY Saturday until March 21. I've got service projects, New Orleans projects, concerts in Charleston and to end the weekend adventures, our student ministries are hosting a Night of Worship for our church which we're all REALLY excited about!!! The day after that, the Elliott's hit the road for sunny Florida for a week to see Duke and Grammy, who we haven't seen in almost TWO years! That will be nice for Spencer to be reaquainted with her grandparents. I don't know if I'll want to leave Florida!!!!

OK. Later!

Hi Sayward,

I love the bunk beds. I hope they work out well for Spencer. Sounds like you guys have a lot of great stuff going on. I hope Florida is wonderful and restful. We'll be down in May and would love to connect with you guys.

Take good care,

Lauren

Ben got a bunk bed this week, too. He calls it a "Bump Bed" and wants Susu to be the first to spend the night....is there a problem with that?
