in sunny florida...

I haven't snapped a single shot, yet, while in Florida. But, I wanted to write about something that has really touched me in the two small days we've been her, so far.

It's something I can't give Spencer. I can work and work and try and try, but it's one thing I didn't bring to the table as a mother. Matt's dad (the Duke) has been just wonderful with Spencer. He takes her on golf cart rides, swims with her in the pool, laughs with her, takes her to get the paper with him...it's simply a completion to family that melts my heart.

We're really enjoying our time in Florida. The weather is wonderful, Grammy and Duke are so hospitable, and we even ran into some Sewickley friends (Bobby and Shadley Gordon) who are here all week as well! It's a great vacation and I'm so glad we're here all week!!
