If you didn't know, most of my June month is spent traveling with my high school and middle school students. On June 10-19 I hit the open road with 14 other folks to drive to Birmingham, then to New Orleans for mission work. This high school trip was awesome and I was so happy to be a part of this trip. Although I physically planned it, the Lord's hand was clearly steering the wheel and what we came home with was so AWESOME!

I had about 35 hours at home and then on the 21st, early in the morning, I headed back to Cleveland, TN for The Great Escape with our middle school students. This is the largest group I have taken, yet, and it was a great trip as well. We had some typical "middle school" problems with the kids, but all in all, the camp was awesome! Our trip home was quite exciting, as well. About a half hour into the trip home (5am!), we woke to what sounded like a huge cooler of ice falling over. What it was, though, was the inside pane of glass on a window totally shattering! Thankfully, it's all safety glass on busses, so no one was injured, but I did have one shaken up 6th grader which the glass totally fell on. I took him outside, dusted him off, and prayed with him. He called his mother when we got to our first stop at 8am and I think that set his mind at ease.

I am very glad to be home. I came home quite tired and my day yesterday was spent with Spencer shopping and playing, making up for the 3 weeks that I had been gone! While out, we found this great ironing board and iron at a local toy store. My mom just sent some napkins and a tablecloth for Spencers table and chairs, so now Spencer can fully care for her linens! She loves it. This morning, she got up, ironed her tutu, put it on and was ready to conquor the world!

Sounds like you had some great trips. I can't imagine how much you miss Matt and Spencer while you are gone, I know how I feel after just one night! Spencer looks so much like you in the first picture is cracks me up that her coloring is completely Matt, but the rest is all you! Make sure you tell Spencer to set her iron temp to ultra low for that tutu!
Did you have the Aggravator on your bus? Anyone go flying through the window?
Welcome back!
Oh my goodness...the Aggravator! Don't do it, don't do it!
