that was a GOOD meal!

We are enjoying the nice weather and change of pace from Winter to Spring/Summer here in Pawleys Island. Uncle Jono is down here for two weeks, which is so nice. He hasn't been to Pawleys for almost 1.5 years and has been very exciting to have him around. Jono had been planning on coming down here, but we were very excited that it worked out for him to be here for Spencer's baptism. It's something we decided on, a bit last minute, so we're glad to have him here...as he is one of Spencer's godfathers. :)
We took Spencer to the movie theater, for the first time, last week. It was quite special, so we truely made it an afternoon at the movies, tub of corn and all! (Not sure who the corn was for, Matt or Spencer...they are both corn-aholics!) We saw Monsters vs. Aliens and she was captured by the big screen, surround sound, and dark room...way cool! Of couse, she's now asking when we can do this again!
So...my blog post title:
Are you ready? No, really, are you ready? THE ELLIOTT'S ARE ENTIRELY OUT OF DEBT! (except for our house, of course.) Can you please join me in the FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE that I have felt since the day I turned 18!!!!??? From college loans, to books, to, simply, nights out to eat, we have ZERO credit card debt! Forgive me, if you are taking this as bragging, because I'm not. But, I am so thankful to the Lord our God for his huge blessings and love. I'm just waiting on a call from the hospital for some bills we have from them, and then we're clear!
As I put it to Matt, "We're out of credit card debt. We finally paid for that dinner at Andora's when we first got married!"
To God be the Glory!!!!

easter memories...

Spencer LOVED the Easter Bunny and all that he brought. She's literally running in this picture to the next egg. We didn't get any pictures of the Easter outfits, so this will have to do.
This was the day before at the church. They had an area for the 0-3 year olds and there was a coveted "golden egg" which would receive a special prize. Well, Spencer and I located the golden egg, and being a fair parent, I did not pick it up and encouraged Spencer to get over and grab it. Well, this other little girl blew past her and grabbed it. I almost pushed her over! And, also, she was CLEARLY not 0-3...she had to have been at least 4. I want birth certificates next year!
Spencer LOVED having her cousins in town and was NOT happy when they left. The schedule doesn't have us together again until October and we're not happy about that at all!
Spencer was being silly for a shot...but the better shot is the dude in the back ground.
Uncle Shawn flew in on Good Friday for the weekend and he was well received by the kiddos. We had a great time. Matt and Shawn built a fire in the back yard on Easter night, and we all sat around it talking. Shawn made his yummy lamb and special sauce, we enjoyed some delicious libations (thank you firefly), and loved every moment we had together.
This weekend I'll be going on my FIRST EVER girls weekend! I'm over the top excited and can't wait! Allison and I are heading to Little Rock, AR to visit our good friend Lair! I hope Little Rock is ready for us!

real quick...

My camera is at home, and my neighbors have all blocked me from stealing their internet!! So, you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see photos from the most excellent Easter ever!

But, in the mean time, I'd like to share with you all that I hired a cleaning service and let's just say, visiting the Elliott home is an ENTIRELY new experience!!!!

Blessings, everyone. Blessings.
