Spencer turned 6 yesterday!! Each year goes by so fast and I want time to slow down a bit.
I had a whirlwind past week. I had my middle school retreat, and then received word that one of my very best friend's father passed away. So, at the end of the retreat, I had my amazing leadership team take my students back to Pawleys and I hit the road for Sewickley. I was really glad I made the trip. There's nothing like going through something and having little support. I know Robyn felt so much love and support. Not only from family and friends, but her awesome new fiancee. The timing couldn't have been "better" (considering the circumstances) and I was able to hit the road at 4am Wednesday morning, back in time to celebrate Spencer's 6th birthday.
I did, however, feel terrible that I wasn't there to make her birthday snack. So, this guilt ridden mother ordered these fancy cupcakes from the Pawleys Island Bakery. They were a hit. Pink on Pink...for my pink princess!
We ended the night with a dinner out at TGIFridays. Not the best pick, but it allows for Ian to be as loud as needed!
Parties will commence tomorrow with her little girlfriends, and family friends on Saturday evening!
