A few weeks back, we were cleaning up the house and as the kid's bathroom was being mopped, the pipe coming from the house decided to break off. Yikes! There was no shut off valve to what we hit and the water came a floodin'!
In the process, we had to bring in plumbers to get up all of the water and tear up all of the carpet in Ian's room, the living room, the hallway and down to the boy's room (guest room), it was a mess. However, in the process, I decided we needed to rearrange the living room. I had my high school retreat that following weekend and Jono was home from the police academy. Matt managed to crawl under the house to restring the cable and here's what we came up with. I included some pictures below of what the house did look like (however it's Christmas from 2 years ago, and a mess).
The rearranging really opens up the room and I am loving it. There's more room for the kids to play and it allows for a better flow from room to room. Also, now that we have cable on both sides of the room, we have options! I was so excited to get back from my retreat to a newly arranged room. Of course, the room needed a bit of a girls touch, but for the most part, it was perfect!
